Braver than she thought

My moment with the ball
So like I mentioned before last weekend was my first England Deaf Rugby match, yes we won 22-12 to local team Penallta in Cardiff and it was a great day. But leading up to that day was a nightmare, even the night before we went I had my other half on the phone crying saying she just couldn't do it.

I wouldn't take no for an answer, I know this sounds mean and horrible but I knew once she was there, she knew our hotel rooms were near each other and she had calmed down she would really enjoy the weekend.

And I was right, for once. We got there and found out her room was on the same corridor as mine and she instantly calmed down, we went for dinner with the team got back to the hotel and chilled out. We said night to each other just after my 10.30 lights out and she text me from her room saying she was watching TV.

Overall the weekend was amazing. She got to watch the England game, although I only lasted 10 minuets before I was carried off the pitch with a knee injury. And everything went pretty smooth. When we got home she finally admitted in this case I was right, she did enjoy the weekend. I didn't say I told you so. But it made me smile, I pushed and pushed because I knew it was what her heart wanted but her head was stopping her. Once there, we were both pretty busy so didn't have a lot of time to worry about anything and in the end we had a great weekend.

I'm hoping if something like this happens again it won't be so hard, she will be more willing to listen to me and I will know when to not accept 'I can't do it' as the answer.
